ATHLETE OF THE MONTH...

DAVID GOTTLIEB   Season opener AOM - Athlete of the Month

David is our very own webguru at TRANSITIONS Multisport.   He began his triathlon lifestyle 1.5 years ago and never looked back.  He is Married to Lindsey  and has one son Drew.  In his spare time he a master brewer, that is, he makes his own beer! So hoist one up for the man behind the curtain, he's worked hard, and deserve's it!

What does it take to be the AOM, Athlete Of the Month?

Our criteria has changed a bit...but follow me and let me know what you think?

When I build your workouts they are built with 3 major criteria in mind;

  • Intensity
  • Duration
  • Frequency

So, I think its only fitting that the criteria for being the athlete of the month follow these same variables. The question now is how do they apply to you?

Intensity  - You don't have to be pro or elite to be selected, but you have to work hard at your game.  At teh same time, you gotta take your rests and you have to take your rests periods with intensity.

Duration -  You must have a minimum of 6 months of time as a client of  TRANSITIONS to be eligible.

Frequency - How often are you challenging yourself ?  Are you racing or are you just talkin'?

Nominations - the idea of nominating someone has been tossed around as well.  I think its appropriate for all of you to suggest to TRANSITIONS the name of someone with a VERY brief perspective on why they should be chosen for athlete of the month.  You don't have to but a few of you put the bug in my ear in 2007 as to who might be a canidate.
